A Star Is Born

A Star Is Born

Long ago God make a promise;

That he would send a Star one day

To crush the pow’r of the evil one,

And open up a new and living way.

And that way is for all people,

To “whosoever will.”

For God’s only Son is this Morning Star;

Let his brightness shine within your heart.

A Star is born, Holy Loving Light.

A Star is born, shining through the night,

To free us from our sin and shame,

And guide us to the break of day.

A Star is born.

To the world God sent the true Light,

And Jesus was his name;

The Word made flesh, the Lamb of God,

To take our sins away.

How his Light expels the darkness,

Greater than a million suns.

Like radiant beams, our Daystar’s grace and peace

Remind us of the warmth of perfect love.

A Star is born, Holy Loving Light.

A Star is born, shining through the night,

To free us from our sin and shame,

And guide us to the break of day.

A Star is born.

Oh, a Star is born, Holy Loving Light.

A Star is born, shining through the night,

To free us from our sin and shame,

And guide us to the break of day.

A Star is born.

A Star is born, a Star.
